One on One

Last week I finally had the opportunity to meet with this amazing woman. We had planned to spend about two hours together, but the time flew by and I think that it was closer to three hours. I truly appreciate Amy's time, knowledge, and most particularly her passion. I must admit that I was a bit nervous. All those inner demons began to swirl in my head whispering things like do you really think you can excel at this and she is going to think that there is no chance of you getting anywhere in photography. I am not really sure why I allow such thoughts to coexist with me.

Amy immediately helped to put me at ease. After spending some time talking about where I was at and also where I wanted to go we headed to Freedom Park. Amy's friend Christi, her daughter, Towne, and her friend Irene were the perfect subjects. Check out some of the shots I got below. You can also see some of Amy's photographs from that evening here.

By the way, did you check out the neat texturing that Amy did on her photos from our time together? I think that it may be time to break down and purchase some editing software. If my laptop crashes from overload I can deal with that as the situation unfolds. Just another piece or two of photography news that I wanted to share is that I begin an eight week Portrait Class on Thursday. Also my sister shared this website with me. What a neat way for someone to share their incredible talent. Stay tuned for more to come as my class begins...
