Big News

It seems that I began this blog at the perfect time. Last night, Amiri proposed after two years of dating. It was one of those surreal moments for me. I came home after drinks and dinner with a friend and he was in a suit. He had on the tie that I gave him our first Christmas together. When I came inside there were numerous roses of varying colors as well as lilies, candles, rose petals, chocolate covered strawberries. It was the picture of romance. Next thing I know he was down on one knee and my teeth were chattering I was so nervous. It's funny how one can imagine such as event, but have no idea how they'll respond until it occurs. Of course, I said yes and I have spent my day trying to update everyone. I still feel like I'm in a dream, yet I'm sure that reality will set in once the planning begins. All I can say is without a doubt, I am the lucky one.
